PETG CF

3D Printing in PETG CF

PETG CF is a carbon fibre-reinforced version of PETG designed for engineers who need strong, stiff, and dimensionally stable parts without sacrificing chemical resistance or ease of processing. The carbon fibres increase rigidity, reduce warping, and improve strength-to-weight ratio, while maintaining the inherent durability and toughness of standard PETG.

It’s an ideal material for mechanically loaded components, fixtures, brackets, and functional prototypes where strength, low thermal expansion, and a professional finish are required.

PETG CF Summary

Use PETG CF for tough, lightweight components with excellent stiffness and low distortion

PETG CF combines the toughness and chemical resistance of PETG with the stiffness and dimensional stability of chopped carbon fibres. It’s a dependable choice for structural parts, jigs, and tooling where performance, repeatability, and appearance matter. Its premium finish and excellent surface quality also make it suitable for external-facing components.

PETG CF Material Properties

PETG CF provides a higher tensile modulus and better temperature resistance than unfilled PETG, while maintaining good impact performance and environmental stability. The carbon fibres reduce thermal expansion and improve part accuracy, particularly for large or thin-walled components where distortion is a concern.

Typical applications include assembly fixtures, structural brackets, machine guards, functional housings, and load-bearing parts used in production or operational environments. PETG CF also resists moisture and many industrial chemicals, making it suitable for shop-floor and outdoor use.
