About Onyx

Onyx is made from a blend of nylon and short chopped strands of carbon fibre. This careful combination of high quality ingredients results in a material that is extremely tough, stiff and temperature resistant, with a smooth and pleasing satin black finish.

An Onyx Gear

CFR 3D printing with Onyx is similar in many ways to FDM 3D Printing, but has tighter tolerances and higher dimensional accuracy. Parts made from Onyx can also be made from FBGR Onyx, which adds continuous fibreglass strands at key locations to further increase stiffness and durability.
